What Sukoyaka reads
Only with your permission, and only to run the game: hatching your egg, feeding your pet and keeping it healthy. Sukoyaka never writes anything to your health data.
iPhoneApple Health (HealthKit)
- Activity summary โ whether your Move and Exercise rings closed each day.
- Sleep analysis โ how many hours you slept each night.
AndroidHealth Connect
- Active calories burned โ to tell whether you reached your Move goal each day.
- Exercise sessions โ to tell whether you reached your Exercise goal each day.
- Sleep sessions โ how many hours you slept each night.
- Reading in the background (if your phone supports it and you allow it) โ so the morning check can run without opening the app. Sukoyaka reads the same three types, nothing more.
Health data from Apple Health or Health Connect is used only for these game features. It is never used for advertising, or for decisions about credit, insurance or employment, and it is never transferred to anyone.
The scrolling limit (optional)
If you turn on the scrolling limit, Sukoyaka watches how long you spend in the apps you pick, so your pet can react when you reach your daily limit.
- iPhoneUses Apple's Screen Time. Sukoyaka never learns which apps you picked or what you did in them; it is only told when your limit is reached.
- AndroidUses Usage access. Sukoyaka shows the apps on your phone so you can pick some, keeps the names of the ones you pick, and adds up today's time in them. It never sees what you do inside those apps.
You can turn the limit off at any time in Sukoyaka's Settings, and remove the access in your phone's settings.
AndroidSleep without a sleep tracker
If Health Connect has no sleep for a night and you've allowed Usage access, Sukoyaka estimates your sleep from when your phone's screen was off between your bedtime and wake-up. Only the screen on/off times are used, they stay on your phone, and the app shows when a night was estimated. Without Usage access, nights with no sleep data are simply skipped.
What Sukoyaka stores
Your pet's state (name, species, age, health), your settings and goals, and, if you use the scrolling limit, the days you reached it are stored only on your device, in the app's private storage shared with its widgets. Deleting the app deletes this data.
If you have your phone's own backup turned on (iCloud on iPhone, Google backup on Android), your pet's save is included in that backup so it can move to a new phone with you. These backups are managed by Apple or Google under your account; Sukoyaka cannot see or access them.
How long it's kept, and how it's protected
Sukoyaka doesn't keep your health records. Each day it reads what it needs, turns it into simple yes/no results (for example "Move goal reached" or "slept enough"), and keeps those results for your pet's trailing week. On Android, today's running totals (calories, exercise minutes, last night's sleep and, if you use the scrolling limit, minutes in your chosen apps) are also kept so the Today card and widgets can show them; they're replaced the next day. Days you reached the scrolling limit are kept for 14 days. Older results are discarded automatically.
Everything sits in the app's private storage, which only Sukoyaka can open and which your phone encrypts. Nothing is ever sent over the internet.
What Sukoyaka shares
Nothing. Sukoyaka has no servers, no accounts, no analytics SDKs, no advertising, and makes no network requests. Health and usage data are never sold, never used for marketing, advertising or data mining, and never disclosed to any third party.
Like every app, Sukoyaka's store listing gives XeroFox anonymous, combined statistics from Apple and Google, such as download counts. These come from the App Store and Google Play under their own privacy policies, not from the app.
Notifications
Sukoyaka sends local reminders about your pet (for example, a morning check-in, or when it is sick). These are scheduled on your device and involve no external service.
Your choices
- Turn health access on or off at any time in Apple Health (iPhone) or Health Connect (Android). Your pet simply stops getting credit for those habits.
- Turn notifications off in your phone's settings.
- Delete all of Sukoyaka's data by deleting the app (or, on Android, by clearing its storage in your phone's app settings).
Children
Sukoyaka does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If a future version of Sukoyaka ever changes any of the above (for example, by adding optional analytics), this policy will be updated first and the change will be clearly described in the App Store and Google Play release notes.
